On Thursday, three more verdicts related to the Easter riots in Malmö in April 2022 were handed down, reports SVT News Skåne.
The riots were triggered by Rasmus Paludan, party leader of the far-right Stram Kurs, burning the Koran. The three men, who were between 18 and 22 years old when the crimes were committed, were convicted of grossly obstructing the police.
According to the district court, the men, among other things, threw stones at the police and set fires using car tyres.
One man was sentenced to five years and nine months for grossly obstructing the police on three occasions. The two other men were sentenced to two years and three months in prison.
All three deny any wrongdoing.
