A man in his 55-year-old who has been arrested on suspicion of murder of a woman in Jönköping has previously been convicted twice for illegal harassment, reports P4 Jönköping.

On Tuesday, the police were called to an apartment in Jönköping. A severely injured woman in her 50s was taken to the hospital by ambulance but later died.

The man was arrested on Tuesday and was detained on probable grounds, the strongest suspicion level, on Friday.

According to the radio channel, the previous convictions relate to a former partner. The man had been ordered to stay away from the contact, but broke it in various ways.

One of the convictions resulted in three months of imprisonment.
