A small girl and two more people were killed in a Russian drone attack on Chernihiv on Thursday afternoon, according to the Ukrainian police.
"The enemy attacked a fuel truck with drones. It exploded and a residential building caught fire", the police write.
The attack came after an attack on Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkiv, where at least twelve people were injured.
"Everyone will receive necessary help", writes the region's governor Oleh Synjehubov in a post on Telegram and continues:
"For Russian attacks of this kind to cease, Ukraine must receive necessary and sufficient help from the world and its partners".
The gliding bomb hit between two floors in the building and rescue personnel then searched for survivors in smoke and debris.
Kharkiv is located about three miles from the Russian border and the city has been subjected to repeated air raids during the war.
Gliding bombs have become increasingly common in the war. Among other things, they were crucial for Russia in the battles for the strategically important city of Vuhledar, which fell to the Russian invasion forces on Wednesday.
