A miniature pony has been killed in a wolf attack north of Malmköping during the night to Saturday, writes the newspaper Swedish Hunting.
Since earlier, protective hunting of a wolf is ongoing in the area between Eskilstuna, Strängnäs, and Malmköping, after several attacks on domestic animals. Among other things, an alpaca has been killed.
Despite earlier protective hunting, wolf problems continue in the area.
Earlier this fall, a wolf was shot during protective hunting between Sparreholm and Malmköping. Also, a wolf infected with scabies has been found dead. In that case, the authorities are investigating suspicions of gross hunting offenses, writes the newspaper.
Earlier this year, a miniature Shetland pony was killed by a wolf in Skövde municipality.
