It is serious and that is why it has led to a dismissal for this employee, says Hans Kemkes, security director at the Migration Agency, to Ekot.

The man was dismissed in February after Säpo sounded the alarm. Exactly what the allegations concern is secret, but from the documents Ekot has read, it appears that the man had, over a longer period, what is described as inappropriate connections and contacts outside of work hours.

According to Ekot's mapping, he has been involved in Swedish-Iranian contexts.

The man has worked at the Migration Agency since 2016. According to Hans Kemkes, there is nothing to suggest that the agency has been harmed or that information has fallen into the wrong hands.

The case officer initially admitted to certain allegations, only to later change his mind and deny everything.

The alarm from Säpo, which does not want to comment on the incident, came in November last year.
