A 25-year-old man has been shot to death in a residential area in Bagaregården, Gothenburg.
The man was found outdoors near an apartment building on Thursday evening and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A string of calls came in from the public who heard bangs, said police spokesperson Jens Andersson.
At 11 pm, the police announced that the man had died from his injuries. The police are searching for perpetrators with a large operation in the area. So far, no one is suspected of the crime, which is classified as murder and aggravated weapons offense.
An intense effort is underway, says Jens Andersson.
