A man in his 40s was seriously injured and is receiving intensive care after a near-drowning incident at the swimming pool in Holmsund outside Umeå, reports P4 Västerbotten.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. For some reason, the man ended up at the bottom of a pool.
Our staff retrieved the person and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The person had a pulse when they left the scene in an ambulance, says the operations manager for Bad i Umeå to Västerbottens-Kuriren.
