A man in his 40s has died after being hit by several cars in Bottnaryd in Jönköping Municipality, reports Aftonbladet.
Several cars have driven over the man who had ended up on the road. Our theory is that he was driving a four-wheeler but fell off and landed on the road. Then he was hit by the oncoming cars, says Lars-Göran Nilseryd, duty officer at the police, to the newspaper.
The road was closed in both directions in connection with the accident, which occurred around 22.30 on Friday.
There are very many shocked people on site, says Nilseryd.
The police have seized the four-wheeler and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
