The police are investigating a murder after a man in his 40s, who was found seriously injured on Monday evening, has died.

The man died from gunshot wounds, confirms the police.

The case came to us through people who heard bangs or gunfire in this area, says Mats Pettersson, press spokesperson for the police.

No suspect has been arrested yet.

We have spoken to a large number of people in the area and also people close to the deceased to get a picture of what happened and if there might be something behind it, says Mats Pettersson.

Do you have any theory about what might be behind it, for example if there is any gang connection?

It's close at hand. But it's too early for us to confirm it at present.
