The oil cartel Opec continues to lower its forecast regarding global demand for oil. This is now the fifth month in a row that this is happening, simultaneously as the downward revision of 210,000 barrels per day is the largest downward revision made during 2024.
The oil price has plummeted 17 percent since July in connection with the decrease in demand, primarily from the Chinese side.
