Over 160 people who worked as healthcare and rescue workers have been killed during clashes between Israel and Hezbollah over the past year, according to Lebanon's Health Minister Firass Abiad. Over 270 others have been killed, according to the reports.
The attacks were, according to the minister, "direct and intentional" and "a war crime".
Several of those killed in attacks on ambulances near border towns could not be retrieved as intense fighting broke out, according to Abiad.
In a video on Thursday, the Israeli military accused a rescue organization with ties to Hezbollah of protecting Hezbollah members and weapons in their ambulances. The group denies the allegations.
