Smajic was charged on a total of ten counts, including forgery, fraud, and attempted fraud for a total of 1.8 million Danish kronor. She has admitted to three of the charges but denied the rest.
The court in Odense found her guilty of all but two of the charges.
Prosecutor Karina Winther Juhlin had requested a sentence of one and a half years in prison.
One of the crimes Smajic is now convicted of involves her defrauding a Bosnian association in Denmark of 1.2 million kronor.
Amira Smajic became known when she acted as a mole for investigative journalists on Danish TV2 in "The Black Swan". With the help of hidden cameras, connections between Denmark's elite and the underworld were exposed. The documentary series has been broadcast on SVT.
This is the second time in a short period that Smajic has been sentenced to prison. Last summer, she was convicted in another case for forgery. The sentence then was one month in prison, followed by two months' probation.
