Earlier this year, a private individual found a number of hand grenades in the area, which previously functioned as a military training ground.
During the week, the municipality has thoroughly examined the area and a large number of old hand grenades have thus been found.
"We are concluding the search on Thursday and thereby assess that we have found all grenades that may pose a potential risk. The grenades have been found within a relatively small area and we assess that this is where all the grenades have been concentrated", says Fredrik Svärd, environmental engineer in Jönköping municipality, in a press release.
"We have dug quite deep into the slope, so the investigation has been thoroughly carried out", he continues.
The hand grenades found are to be detonated on site on Friday. The detonations are expected to take place during large parts of the day.
