Kenyan police report on Monday that they have arrested a serial killer after several dismembered female bodies were found on a dump in the slum area of the capital Nairobi.
According to the police, the suspected perpetrator has confessed to murdering a total of 42 women.
We are dealing with a serial killer, a psychopathic serial killer who has no respect for human life, says the head of the directorate for criminal investigations, Mohamed Amin, to reporters.
Over the weekend, several discoveries of dismembered bodies were made, including three bags containing body parts from women. They included, among other things, severed legs and two torsos.
According to the police, nine bodies have been found so far and autopsies of the victims will begin on Monday.
