The IT system began to be introduced in the Västra Götaland region in November, but was stopped after just a few days due to technical problems and massive criticism from healthcare staff.
Now, Ivo (The Inspectorate for Healthcare and Welfare) will investigate the incident.
"Based on the signals we have received to the authority, we have decided to initiate supervision," says Ingela Ottoson, unit manager at Ivo, in a press release.
"What we have received is, for example, that test results have not come through, medication orders that have become incorrect, and that words have fallen out of the journal, which could be potential patient safety risks that we need to take a closer look at."
