There is no longer reason to assume that a crime has been committed, says the police's investigation leader Sabina Eklund to the newspaper.
Last summer, Expressen revealed that the reporter had swished 150,000 kronor to a person linked to the criminal network Foxtrot. The police launched a preliminary investigation into money laundering and the reporter quit DN after an agreement with the employer.
During the half-year that the police investigation has been ongoing, neither the DN reporter nor anyone else has been suspected of a crime, writes DN.
The reporter has said that they were deceived and told Expressen that the money was intended for a renovation that never took place.
