The municipal water and energy company has advised residents in Eskilstuna to boil their drinking water since Tuesday evening due to a damaged distribution pipe.
There may be problems with a valve that means we have the same water at Mälarsjukhuset as in the rest of Eskilstuna, says Magnus Johansson, health and healthcare director at Region Sörmland, to the radio.
According to the region, patients or care are not affected, but rather the hospital's employees. The hospital should normally be able to avoid the municipal water network.
We have a possible water supply via a water tower adjacent to the hospital, and it is an indication that there may be problems with the valve that means we cannot be certain.
