"Idol" is turning 20 this year and it will be noticeable in this year's final when Joel Nordenberg, Margaux Flavet, and Minou Nilsson compete for the win.
The host Pär Lernström will be accompanied by someone who has done the job before him – David Hellenius.
"It will be nostalgic to attend Idol's 20th anniversary. It feels almost like it was yesterday that I and Peter Magnusson were hosts for the first season in 2004", says David Hellenius in a written statement.
Other former hosts and sidekicks will also appear during the evening, such as Peter Jihde, Gina Dirawi, Sanna Bråding, and Anis Don Demina.
There will also be guest artists, who will have a clear red thread for those who have followed "Idol" over the years.
"We're going all out with our 20th anniversary season and will really dip into the nostalgia pot. Both when it comes to my host colleagues who will keep me company on Saturday and when it comes to our guest artists who will perform this evening", says Pär Lernström.
