Kent Kumpula is today the district chairman for SD in Uppsala County, a task he is now leaving due to his parliamentary seat.
Lars Wistedt was SD's defence policy spokesperson and vice chairman of the Riksdag's Defence Committee. He passed away suddenly during a trip with the NATO delegation in Canada earlier this week.
It is still unclear which committee Kumpula will sit on or who will replace Lars Wistedt in the Defence Committee. However, Kent Kumpula tells Altinget that he shares his predecessor's interest in defence issues.
Defence issues are very important. In no way do I match the proximity of Lars Wistedt's competence.
