The UN Secretary-General António Guterres demands a "just peace" in Ukraine. The statement comes at the Brics countries' summit in the Russian city of Kazan, where Russia's President Vladimir Putin is hosting.
Guterres also calls for an "immediate ceasefire" in Gaza and an "immediate end to hostilities" in Lebanon.
Guterres said before the meeting that he would confirm previously well-known positions regarding the war in Ukraine, but his visit to Russia has still been criticized by Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.
The association Brics consists largely of dictatorships or countries with deficient democracy.
