The allegations are directed against Gröna Lund and two other companies and concern gross negligence leading to another's death, gross negligence leading to bodily harm, and causing danger to another.

"The application is for the companies to be ordered to pay among the highest corporate fines ever imposed in Sweden", writes the Prosecution Authority in a press release.

Gröna Lund denies the allegations and opposes paying a corporate fine.

My client opposes the request. What is important is to understand that a corporate fine is based on an assertion that a crime has been committed, and we do not believe that it has been proven that this is the case, says Gröna Lund's lawyer Jonas Tamm to TT.

The amusement park does not want to comment on the allegations in detail in order not to prejudice the legal process.

This is a complex case, there are a number of legal issues that are complicated. A charge has been filed in court and we are awaiting the upcoming trial, says Tamm.

Gröna Lund states that it has taken several measures after the accident.
