The energy company Fortum is pausing its collaboration with the criticized Effective Communication following reports on how the telecom company has conducted sales of the Social Democratic Party's lottery tickets.
"Given the additional information that has emerged about Effective Communication over the weekend, Fortum will pause its collaboration with the company with immediate effect", writes the company's press service in a statement to TT.
Fortum is, among other things, questioning the employees' work situation and what routines apply when recruiting.
"We also need to get a clearer picture of how our brand has been used in the company's recruitment", writes Fortum.
Even competitor Eon is pausing its collaboration with Effective Communication and has launched an internal investigation, writes Svenska Dagbladet.
Earlier, Svenska Postkodlotteriet has made the same decision following revelations in Dagens Nyheter about questionable sales methods targeting primarily elderly people.
