Aside from more expensive fruit and berries, prices are rising the most on dairy products.
"What we're seeing is dramatic since dairy products make up a whole 18 percent of total daily grocery sales, so it's a large part of what we buy and eat," says Ulf Mazur at Matpriskollen in a press release.
According to Matpriskollen, the price of cooking fat increased by 3.6 percent and milk and cream by 2.4 percent. Prices on dairy products are expected to rise further during the winter:
"These are large increases and unfortunately, there's probably more to come since cooking fat prices are rising in Europe," says Ulf Mazur in a written comment.
While several dairy products have become more expensive, prices have fallen on, for example, lemons, oranges, and cucumbers. Apples and bell peppers have also become cheaper.
