A fire broke out at SCA's sawmill in Rundvik in Nordmaling municipality early on Saturday morning.
About 20 units from the rescue service responded initially. The rescue service announced in the morning that no one was injured and that there was no longer any risk of spreading.
SCA's press chief Robert Östholm writes in an email at 4 pm that the fire burned in a dryer and that the damage appears to be limited to it.
"The fire is under control. No open flames anymore. A few embers from wood that was in the dryers, which a smaller force from the rescue service continues to work on", he writes.
