A man in his 20s died in a traffic accident on E20 outside Eskilstuna on Friday evening. Initially, it was believed to be a hit-and-run accident, but it has turned out to be incorrect.
Initially, it was reported that the man had stopped and got out of his car and was then run over, but now the sequence of events has been clarified, the police write on their website.
It was a single-vehicle accident where the driver lost control of the car and drove off the road into a snowbank. In connection with this, he was thrown out of the vehicle and onto the road.
The accident will continue to be investigated.
