One person was seriously injured in a head-on collision between two cars west of Årjäng in Värmland on Thursday afternoon.
The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 35, is suspected of gross negligence in traffic, gross bodily harm, gross drunk driving, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The man tried to flee the scene, but with the help of a dog patrol, the police were able to track him down and apprehend him, according to police press spokesperson Anders Dahlman.
The injured person is a woman of upper middle age who is now being cared for in the intensive care unit, according to Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.
