A reporter at Dagens Nyheter who transferred 150,000 kronor to a suspected drug courier linked to the criminal Foxtrot network is leaving after an agreement with the newspaper, writes DN.

Expressen was the first to report on the transfer, which became known in connection with an investigation into the suspected drug courier in Örebro. The reporter himself has told Expressen that the money was intended for a renovation that never took place.

"I was deceived", the reporter wrote in an SMS to the newspaper.

The police are investigating the transfer as suspected money laundering, but the reporter has not been suspected of a crime.

DN has conducted an internal investigation. Editor-in-Chief Peter Wolodarski states that the investigation did not find that the newspaper's journalism was affected.

I think we now know enough to think it's right, at least for us, to enter into this agreement. This matter is, based on what we know today, closed for us, he says to DN.
