Saab was one of several companies that were part of the business delegation that, together with the government, was intended to visit South Korea, but they are choosing to abstain after the latest developments in the past 24 hours.

"Against the background of the government's trip being postponed, Saab's trip is also being postponed to the future, as we were part of the business delegation that was supposed to follow," writes Saab's press department to TT.

On the other hand, Jacob Wallenberg, chairman of Investor, which is the main owner of Saab, will complete the trip.

I think it's important that we go, he says to the Swedish delegation, which is currently in Tokyo, and according to plan, will continue to South Korea on Thursday.

Many of you have companies there, and this is an opportunity.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and three other ministers are also on the Japan trip, but announced during the night to Wednesday that they are postponing the South Korea visit.

I think we have a good program, despite the political side not being represented. I think this is a good opportunity, and Korea is Korea, a very important country, says Wallenberg, who is chairman of Svenskt Näringsliv and Investor.

On Tuesday afternoon, Swedish time, South Korea was thrown into political chaos after President Yoon Suk-Yeol introduced a state of emergency. A few hours after the criticized decision, he backed down again.
