The British postal service, Royal Mail, gets a Czech billionaire as a new owner. The government confirms that they have approved the deal, reports BBC.
The bid from Daniel Kretinsky and his company group EP on the postal service's parent company was known in May and the board has approved.
The deal, worth 3.6 billion pounds (approximately 50 billion kronor), is expected to be completed at the beginning of next year. The government retains a so-called golden share, which gives significant influence.
