A customs officer is reported for having fired a stray shot in a hotel room in central Luleå, writes Västerbottens-Kuriren.
The shot went through a wall and into the hotel's bathroom.
The officer had forgotten to remove the magazine, which caused the weapon to jam. He inserted a cartridge into the cartridge holder and then accidentally fired, resulting in a stray shot, the officer reports in a report.
No one was injured, but the incident, which occurred in January, has been reported to the Work Environment Authority for investigation.
It was the second time in a short period that a customs officer fired a stray shot, according to VK.
