When you access the CSN (https://www.csn.se/), you can select the service you want from the menu tab at the top.

The Grants and Loans page categorizes services into Study Support, Driving License Loan, and For Your Situation. It also contains detailed information on the process for loan repayment and support grant determination.

According to the CSN,

Study support

All grants and loans for studies “ You can get grants and loans from CSN if you are going to study in Sweden or abroad. What you can get depends on, among other things, what you will study, how old you are, and what situation you are in.”

There is a detailed explanation of the grants provided depending on the type of educational service selected by the individual, so you can select the service that suits your situation.

Driving License Loan

For you with a driver's license loan

“Previously, it was possible to borrow money in order to obtain a driver's license. From 1 January 2024, you can no longer get a driving license loan. If you already have a decision on a driver's license loan, it still applies. You must repay the driving license loan to CSN.”

This service supports the costs required to obtain a driver's license. The service details for expected situations are well organized, so you can choose the service you need and support it.

Information for your situation in life

“Here you can read based on different life situations, what applies when you study with grants and loans, when you pay us back or if you can apply for more grants and loans.”

This is a service that allows you to receive subsidies for various situations such as unemployment, studying abroad, disabilities, support for minor children, and single-parent families.
