China to lower interest rates next year

China will lower interest rates and ease credit restrictions at an appropriate time next year, according to Wang Xin, head of the Chinese central bank's research bureau.

New statistics show that credit expansion in China's economy unexpectedly fell in November, which further puts pressure on China's Communist Party to do something to boost the economy.
