The club's men's team was on its way to meet Hässelby in Stockholm when the accident occurred. The bus drove off the road and overturned at 12:30 on Saturday in the direction of Nyköping near Jönåker.
We were driving on the motorway and drove off it, probably due to slippery roads, says Kalle Nilsson to TV4.
16 people on board
In total, 16 people, most of them in their 20s, were on the bus, according to Region Sörmland. The region went into emergency mode in connection with the accident.
Four are seriously injured and twelve are lightly injured, says Maria E Karlsson, communications director at the region.
Kalle Nilsson tells that he was able to crawl out of the bus through a gap in the broken windows.
I'm doing relatively well considering the circumstances. Physically, it's just a few scratches. Then we're processing it together with the guys at the hospital and giving each other strength to hope for the best for the guys who had more than just scratches.
The four who are seriously injured are being treated at hospitals in Nyköping, Solna, Uppsala, and Norrköping. The rest have received care at the hospital in Nyköping.
The bus is seized
The floorball team's coach Ola Persson tells Aftonbladet that the bus got a flat tire on the slippery road.
I was one of those who reacted quickly and managed to hold on to one side of the bus. I've made it well, most of us have got a few scratches and bruises, he says to the newspaper.
The police have initiated an investigation into bodily harm, but no one is suspected.
The bus will be seized to investigate if there was any technical fault. We also know that it was very slippery at the scene and it will likely prove to be a contributing cause, says Erik Creutz, duty officer at the police.
