It will not be a purchase of the cybersecurity company Wiz for Google's owner Alphabet, reports Wall Street Journal.
In mid-July, sources stated that Alphabet was holding talks with Wiz to buy the company for around 23 billion dollars, equivalent to approximately 243 billion kronor. Speculations about the potential deal received significant attention since it would have been the largest Alphabet acquisition of all time.
But now, there will be no deal, sources tell WSJ. In an email to employees, which the newspaper has taken part of, Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport writes that the company is instead now aiming for a stock exchange listing.
"While we are flattered by the offers we have received, we have chosen to continue on our own path by building Wiz", writes Rappaport.
