"We will of course cover other topics as well, but opinions that oppose these fundamental pillars will be left to be published by others", Bezos continues.
Amazon founder Bezos, who is one of the world's richest people, believes that the newspaper does not need to provide opposing views since "the internet does the job".
Last autumn, Bezos stopped the newspaper from giving its support to the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, which led to protests at the editorial office and cancelled subscriptions.
In January, the award-winning satirical cartoonist Ann Telnaes announced that she had quit The Washington Post in protest after a cartoon depicting, among other things, Bezos crawling to Trump had been rejected.
