The Korans have been filled with bacon at Linnaeus University in Växjö. It is unclear who is behind the act and the incident has now been reported to the police.
"We take the incident very seriously. The university stands for respect for all people's equal value and freedom as a basis for our operations," says rector Peter Aronsson in a press release.
The Korans are kept at the university and are used during prayer sessions.
Photos and video clips sent to Smålandsposten show how slices of bacon have been placed between the pages of several Korans. Bacon slices have also been found on prayer mats, reports SVT Nyheter Småland.
