At least four migrants died when the boat they were traveling on sank in the Aegean Sea, according to the Greek coast guard. The bodies were recovered near the island of Samos on Thursday.
16 people were rescued from the water and a search operation is ongoing.
It's only three days since another accident in the vicinity claimed at least eight lives, including six children. The route north of Samos is often used by human traffickers.
The migrant influx to Greece has increased by nearly 25 percent over the past year, according to figures from the country's migration department.
