An American 17-year-old school shooter was, among other things, inspired by a Swedish teenager's violent deeds, reports SVT.
On Wednesday, the 17-year-old shot and killed a girl and injured another student in Nashville in the state of Tennessee before shooting himself.
Before the deed, a 51-page long manifesto was published on X by an anonymous account. The shooter is suspected of having written it. In the manifesto, which SVT Verifierar and Uppdrag granskning have taken part of, several people are mentioned who are said to have inspired the writer.
One of them is the terrorist Brenton Tarrant, who murdered 51 people in a mosque in New Zealand in 2019.
The manifesto's writer also names the teenager who stabbed two people in Hässelby in western Stockholm last year. The deeds were filmed and spread in a Telegram channel linked to the internet sect 764.
