During a house search earlier this year, the police gained access to an encrypted chat where a murder contract was placed on an SVT employee. There was a picture of the employee and the question of whether anyone wanted to "jappa", shoot, the person.
An encrypted user took on the assignment, but according to Expressen, that person has not been able to be identified.
The police, who took the threat seriously, contacted the employee who left their home for a period.
It's very serious, this type of threat against employees, that it's a threat against freedom of expression and ultimately democracy, says Camilla Josephson, SVT's security chief, to SVT.
How we work with our employees' security, and in this case, I cannot go into more detail with regard to all involved, and that we generally cannot comment on our security work.
