On Thursday, fuel chains lowered the price of gasoline by 80 öre per litre, and on Friday the price of diesel followed suit, dropping by 65 öre.
This means gasoline costs around SEK 17.50 and diesel around SEK 22.70 per litre for private motorists, according to TT's translation of the chains' price advertisements for corporate prices on their respective websites.
The price drop in recent days follows falling oil prices on the world market. A barrel of North Sea oil has fallen back to just over $103.
