He has stated in police interviews that he filmed the children in the men's locker room with a mobile phone that he had placed in the outer pocket of his bag. He chose times when he knew that swimming lessons were in progress. Many children have been filmed on several different occasions. Based on the films, he then made screenshots.

The man is convicted of a total of 71 cases of offensive photography and 86 cases of child pornography offenses.

"In both the films and screenshots, the focus has been on the children's naked genitals and buttocks," says court of appeal assessor Emmy Sedin in a press release from Kalmar District Court, and adds that the images' clear sexual focus means that he is convicted of child pornography offenses.

The children are between five and eleven years old. All are awarded damages.
