An 18-year-old man has been arrested for attempted murder and serious weapons offences following the shooting in Malmö late last night.
A man in his 20s was hit by a bullet and is being treated in hospital.
The condition is serious but not life-threatening, says police spokesperson Nils Norling.
The alarm about loud bangs in the Kirseberg area came in at 23.33 last night and several people were seen fleeing the scene, according to the police website.
It's a densely populated area and many people heard the shooting and alerted the police. When we arrived at the scene, there were several people in and around the area, says Nils Norling.
The suspected 18-year-old was arrested shortly afterwards.
