Junibacken is a children’s culture centre on Djurgården in Stockholm. Its activities use children’s books as their starting point, with interactive play exhibitions, theatre and the Story Train. The venue says its play experiences are suited to children aged 0–8 and their adults.

The Story Train takes visitors through stories by Astrid Lindgren, including the world of Emil and Karlsson on the Roof. One ride is included in the admission fee. A listed play exhibition, Fnatta round in Moominvalley, invites children to explore a forest, play theatre and use a slide, among other activities.

Theatre takes place every day, but you need to book a theatre place in advance. The venue’s bookshop sells children’s books for different ages, including titles in several languages, and has a reading corner. You can enter the bookshop without an admission ticket. Visit Stockholm lists a restaurant at Junibacken, and the venue’s website says families can book a dinner there. For a visit that includes the attraction, the listed ticket information says to buy a day ticket with a booked entry time.
