The Slow Fashion Gala brings a market for vintage, second-hand and redesigned fashion together with an evening programme at Clarion Hotel Stockholm. It returns for a third year, according to Visit Stockholm, with free entry to the indoor market and tickets required for the programme later in the day.
Visitors can browse the stalls, then see a red-carpet photo session and a panel on sustainable fashion with marketing researcher Malin Wennberg, Fair Action secretary-general Marlene Rosendal and author and transition activist Isabelle McAllister. Maria Lagerman moderates. The programme also includes a live performance by Elin Wiigh, a fashion show featuring looks from the gala’s exhibitors, and awards for Slow Fashionista/o, Slow Fashion Shop, Re-designer and a new evening gala look category. AyaNea performs later, followed by a DJ and party.
The programme is for visitors interested in second-hand style and redesign, whether they come to shop or stay for the talks and performances. It puts clothing reuse alongside music and a fashion show.
