Salongen brings opera and club music to Stockholms Bränneri for an evening that moves from DJ music and drinks to a live concert. The format is informal: guests are welcomed inside, can take off their shoes and settle in as the club music gives way to the first act.
Soprano and actor Sanna Gibbs will sing some of her favourite pieces, accompanied by pianist Pontus Carron. Gibbs has performed on Swedish stages including the Royal Swedish Opera, Folkoperan and Stockholm City Theatre since 2011. Carron has appeared as a soloist with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. DJ Inanna, active in Stockholm for 15 years, draws on disco, house and warm techno, and will play a melodic, dreamy selection of electronic music.
The evening is for visitors curious about opera in a relaxed setting alongside club sounds. Salongen grew from Gibbs’s wish to bring her different musical worlds together, after the similar concert and party series Första Parkett ended.
