Jay Smith’s solo tour, “The Songs You Know, The Stories You Don’t”, pairs music familiar to audiences with a personal account of his life. The country artist presents the show in an intimate, stripped-back format, weaving the songs into a story he has not told before. It is a musical and personal journey rather than a set of songs alone.
The concert takes place at Winterviken, whose stage hosts music and cultural events in Stockholm. Winterviken says it works with organisers, artists and producers on events, with performances held indoors or outdoors on areas down towards the water. Its programme also makes room for stand-up, lectures and other kinds of performance. This evening is centred on Jay Smith’s songs and the stories behind them, for listeners who know his music and for visitors looking for a personal introduction to the country artist.
