Carl Eldh’s former studio in Bellevueparken is now a museum devoted to the sculptor, who was one of Sweden’s most prominent sculptors in the first half of the 20th century. Eldh lived from 1873 to 1954. Visit Stockholm dates the wooden building to 1919 and says it looks over Brunnsviken and Haga Park.
The collection focuses on Eldh’s work. The museum says it holds more than 1,000 sketches and original plaster models, as well as sculptures. Visit Stockholm describes the collection as including several hundred sculptures. Visitors can see the collection, attend temporary exhibitions and take part in tours and programmes. Visit Stockholm says guided tours in English are offered once a day.
Regular opening is mainly in summer. For visits outside the museum’s regular opening hours, groups can book throughout the year. The museum is at Lögebodavägen 10 in Bellevueparken, Stockholm.
