Residents of Norrtälje and members of its local associations are invited to share stories about food traditions and holidays. The meeting is part of preparations for a conference on intangible cultural heritage in Stockholm County, planned for early 2027. The organisers describe this heritage as traditions and knowledge passed from person to person.
Participants can talk about a holiday when food matters, what is served, who prepares it, and whether recipes or customs have been passed down. They are also welcome to share memories of celebrations, discuss how food traditions have changed and bring or share photographs.
Stockholm County Local Heritage Federation and Stockholm County Museum are hosting the gathering with Sankt Eriks Gille and Roslagsbro Local Heritage Association. It takes place in the Alf Olsson room, one floor up at Norrtälje City Library. Fruit, sweets and drinks will be provided. Registration is required by 5 November, by email or telephone.
