Third Consecutive Crash for Swedish Star
It doesn't go well for slalom skier Kristoffer Jakobsen - for the third World Cup competition in a row, the 30-year-old crashed out already in the first run. Over 30 skiers crashed out of the competition in Madonna di Campiglio, where Bulgarian Albert Popov won.
Jakobsen's new setback – skied out again
Sweden's great slalom hope on the men's side, Kristoffer Jakobsen, has been inconsistent and given so far this season. In Alta Badia, it ended already in the first run for the second competition in a row – after a gate fault.
Norwegian double victory as Jakobsen skied out
Slalom specialist Kristoffer Jakobsen could not follow up the success from Austrian Gurgl, where he became second three weeks ago after a superior second run. In Sunday's slalom in French Val d'Isère, it ended for the Swede already in the first run.
The Success: Takes Career's Fourth Podium Position
Swedish Kristoffer Jakobsen delivered a super run in the slalom in Austrian Gurgl – so good that he climbed all the way up to a fine second place. It was the 30-year-old's fourth WC podium in his career.
Norwegian Super Success - Braathen Treated to Samba
Marcel Hirscher's sensational comeback and William Hansson's personal best, aside. A sad-dancing Norwegian stole the show in Sölden.
