Kristoffer Jakobsen delivered a fine second run in the World Championship slalom in Swiss Wengen, and climbed seven places.
It was only enough for a 20th place for the 30-year-old Swede. Jakobsen had only the 27th best time in the first run, and was therefore never close to the top placements.
More fun then for Norway, which took possession of the entire podium. Atle Lie McGrath took his first win of the season and got company on the podium from two countrymen: Timon Haugan and Henrik Kristoffersen.
The home nation had otherwise hoped for a first Swiss win in Wengen since 1987. Tanguy Nef, Loïc Mellard and Daniel Yule were all close, but finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
